it deactivate the no-CD hack?
I use the NOCD hack because my bloody laptop's CD/DVD drive fails the
blizzard authorization check; however, I assure you its a store-bought CD.
In any case, I upgraded to 1.10 and have had no trouble with the NOCD
loader.

I'm going to give it a try. My copy of the game is legal also. I
bought the Battle Chest and got Diablo, Diablo II, and Lord of
Destruction all at one time. I put the no-CD hack on my computer
because the final act of the expansion set was making my CD run
continuously. It's one of those CD drives that speeds up and slows
down, depending on how much information is being accessed, and in
the expansion part of the game it ran non-stop at max speed, and
sounded like a jet plane all the time I was playing it, and got so
hot I was afraid it was damaging my Diablo CD.
This is definitely a bug in the game, and definitely Blizzard's
fault. I don't know how many other buyers have run into the same
problem.
Why the hell isn't Blizzard smart enough to just make running from
the hard drive an legitimate option, so we don't need the no-CD
hack? It is soooo much nicer playing the game from the hard drive.
